Love and a Spoonful of Friendship Breville Feature Story Just like this love story of a sweet couple from Tanza, Malabon City. Forty years ago, a high school boy and high school girl met at class. Boy fell in love at first sight, but girl has no interest at all. Through perseverance, dedication, hardwork, cleverness and after a whole year of courtship, the girl Fathersday1finally gave her 'yes'. "I was a snob before and I didn't like him. He used to write me love letters and even pledged love at the back of my test papers, which really annoyed me because I know that our teachers had read those. It was really embarrassing. But he really gave his best in wooing me. Gave me roses everyday (Until now, I still don't know from whose fence he got those from), visited our house everyday bringing suman, coconuts and other requests from my family. Not only he was courting me but my parents as well. That's why they really favored him", recalled Mrs. Ermilinda, now 53 years old.

FathersDay3 After ten years of being a couple, the high school boy and the high school girl decided to make a family of their own. Blessing them with two healthy and equally intelligent children—Benjamin III (now 29 years old, married with one daughter) and Blessie Angelie (now 26 years old), both graduates of UP Diliman.

Like any other married couples, they also had their ups and downs that had really put their relationship to the test. When asked what's the secret ingredient that made them pufathersday5ll through all the hardships and trials, Mrs. Cavas simply answered, "marriage with a mixture of friendship".

"He is my best friend, not just my husband. A good provider, a good listener and understands me very well. He knows my strength, as well as my weaknesses and doesn't judge me for that. Benjamin's always been there for me… and I for him. I always stood by his side, and at worst, his only kakampi. When it seems difficult, I don't judge him. I'm just there to comfort him. That's the balance and our mixture".

Mrs. Ermilinda and Mr. Benjamin Cavas (both 53 years old) are now living their lives to the fullest. Their kids (not-so-kids-anymore) visit them regularly. They enjoy every moments together by doing their favorite activity, cooking!

"Our bonding moments are always in the kitchen, because we all love to cook and eat! Especially now that we have our Breville products, everything is so effortless to make and comes out deliciously! We really enjoy our table conversations. This may sound simple, but for us, that's just happiness and such moments are to be treasured, forever".
