It has been 84 years since Breville® rolled out its first product in the market, starting with the radio business then shifting to small appliances, the brand took strides in designing innovative products that gave the brand its success— becoming the iconic Australian and global brand it is today. Having its presence established here and in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Breville® adapts a Philippine tagline, “Australian Innovation. Since 1932.”, that strengthens its commitment in providing high-quality culinary appliances.

Breville® first established its mark as an innovative brand for the hot kitchen in 1972, when it came out with Scissor Action Snack’n’Sandwich Maker or the Jaffle Maker. It achieved 10-percent penetration of Australian household in its first year and the appliance has become the icon that many people still associate with Breville®. Since then, many of its products followed suit such as, electric wok the could replicate the even heating of gas, the world’s first domestic Panini, and the world’s first power barbeque grill to name a few.

In Breville’s recent innovations, the brand came up with a bread toaster that allows a “lift and look” function to check the toasting without interrupting the cycle and “a bit more button” to suit everyone’s toasting preference, without having a burnt toast. The Smart Oven™, on the other hand, is the first compact oven with Element IQ™ technology that controls heating elements to suit any cooking needs, without having to check the oven every once in a while.

In terms of food preparation, Breville® introduced its Kitchen Wizz™ food processor in the Australian market in 1977, and through the years, made constant innovations to the iconic product to make food processing faster and easier. The Scraper Mixer Pro™ does not only mix ingredients better, it also does wipe the sides and bottom of the bowl in every turn, cutting mixing time by up to 60 percent.

Juicing was messy and time consuming before juicers came into households. Now many health buffs enjoy the benefits of juicing at home. Breville® made the world’s first juicer to juice whole fruits and vegetables. Juicing was revolutionized even further by having the pulp extracted in a separate bin, away from the good juice stuff, and keeping 69.5% of the vitamins and minerals in the glass.

Breville® also introduced its Kinetix blender that is more efficient than its conventional counterparts. With its wide bowl-hugging blade system, having a hard time dealing with food traps is virtually eliminated, creating creamier smoothies, smoother pesto, and ice ground into snow.

Breville® also brought to the market The Oracle™, the world’s first automatic manual espresso machine that prepares café quality drinks at home, minus the barista. It has automatic grinding, dosing, tamping, and milk texturing, making it easier for anyone to prepare the perfect cup of coffee that would be challenging to prepare manually.

“Aside from having the most innovative culinary appliances, Breville® also prides itself with its brand ambassadors, who are not just keen in endorsing Breville® in the culinary industry, but also making us a brand of their choice in the restaurants under their name,” said Cris Llamo, Vice President and General Manager of BREVILLE® Philippines.

Founding President of the Philippine Chapter of the Ordre Internationale des Disciples Escoffier, Chef Philip John Golding and renowned Spanish born chef who has worked in the world’s most respected restaurants, like El Bulli, El Celler de Can Roca, Mugaritz, and Nerua-Guggenheim, Executive Chef Luis “Chele” Gonzales, are just two of Breville’s brand ambassadors here in the Philippines. Breville also signed its youngest brand ambassador, a finalist in Junior Master Chef Philippines, Chef Louise Mabulo who has already created a name for herself in the culinary industry. Mother, yoga instructor and Certified Raw Food Chef Margo Lao is also a proud ambassador. Breville signed up the Modern Pastry & Desserts Royalty, Chef Edward Mateo, popular cake designer, consultant, instructor and a multi-awarded pastry chef. Master Latte Artist Dave Dource, a notable coffee-consultant has recently joined the team of the Breville® PH ambassadors.

“Many of our products has been recognized by international award giving bodies, such as the Australian Design Award, Australian Powerhouse Museum Selection, Home Beautiful Awards, Chicago Anthenaeum - Good Design Award, IDSA Design Award - USA, iF Design Award, Australian People’s Choice Award, Housewares Design Award - New York, and German Red Dot Design Award.
